Potomac grows very upright and is less spreading than other cultivars. Fruit is large and fleshy, with rich flavor — mango-like with a custard consistency and aroma. The Pawpaw (Asimina triloba) is a fruit-bearing, understory, bush-like tree native to North America and grows from northern Florida to southern Canada and as far as the Midwest. Older plants can tolerate sun. Put young plants in mostly shade. Water regularly or plant near a natural water source. Avoid letting the soil dry completely. Soil should be well-draining. Disease resistant.
